I guess I am an outlier with my machine. I purchased one of the originals, from the Kickstarter fundraising, My machine has been nothing but trouble. I am happy that those of you who are recent purchasers of this machine are loving it. Since you got a later edition, you got machines where they were able to fix all the problems and issues that us original purchasers have had to deal with. The KICKSTARTER editions were problems to begin with. In my opinion, the only thing nice about the machine was the frame. I have never been able to level the machine, and by that I mean the heated beds, the actual print frame (which holds the printheads), or be able to adjust the screws for the z-axis. It has frustrated me so much that I have literally had to walk away from the machine for months on end, just to calm down enough that I can actual try to work on it, to try and get it to work. Just now the entire electronics system of the machine has gone out and I am being told that since it has been so long since I made the actual purchase and received my machine that it is out of warranty and I will now have to pay nearly half the cost of the machine (over $600 US) to get the parts they say I need to try and get the machine up and working again. I guess I will now have to go part by part to see what actually needs to be replaced (other than the motherboard and heatbed module which will actually have to be replace).

Note - if getting this printer, be strong and/or have friends. It's not light, even when it's in parts to move.

**Set it up with one head first to do leveling, and then you can add the multi-head unit.**

Printer arrived very well packed, no issues with shipping (shout out to the delivery dudes being rad, as well). It was easy to follow the instructions and put it together. No issues at all, but be sure to check fuses on all sides (commonly US will be 120V, so fuse should be set to the 115v from what I assume is the default higher one). The filament sensor that connects to the roll holder is floppy. I just didn't expect that from my past printer experience. Just in case you're wondering if that's normal - it works great.

After taking time to level the bed to all 0.00, I ran a small first print that was great. Real impressive to have such a great unit at this price point and size. I'll update this as I get more use out of it if anything changes, but otherwise, it's been fantastic so far!

Yes, it's put together in a 115 year old basement, because why not? That's a Prusa CoreOne for scale in the photo, as well. This thing is truly massive.

I have been trying to get this up and running for over a year now and it's not working.
From installation, we haven't been able to qualify it or even get the printer to do the leveling test. Support takes forever to respond and even when they do the response is not sufficient.
It's so heart breaking to have bought a printer this expensive and then not have it work.

I purchased the giga printer in may of this year to perform production work printing 3d auto parts. this machine has not worked from the first day. It will not perform auto leveling and shutdown repeatedly. I have tried to get tech support but it ids almost nonexistent. they say try this change this here is a new board try this. they have no customer support in the USA. it is all in china. don't buy this machine

I received the printer after having to deal with the shipping company. Finally received the printer and assembled. I did damage a connector to one of the stepper motors. After a great deal of time dealing with tech support and the shipping time it finally arrived. I had a professional electronics person change the cable. I was able to print one piece successfully. after the I have been unable to print anything. It shuts down in varying points of preparing to print in the heating cycles. It shutdown doing a home process. it shuts down when attempting to do the auto leveling. I have not successfully gotten thru the one-click check. Tech support is almost non existent. I have been fighting this machine for the past 6 weeks since receiving.

I would not recommend this printer at this point.

I have 3 orange storm gigas two which are still under warranty and I cant get anyone to help me get this machine back up and running. This is becoming a massive problem and I'm about to contact my credit card company for a dispute

Over the year I’ve had this machine I’ve had one successful print and a cycle of mcu, canbus, and stepper errors. When I can get it to attempt a print it results in spaghetti.

I have had my Elegoo Orange Storm Giga for 5 months now everything has worked amazingly. I have had no major issues with it. Shipping was seamless. Everything arrived in perfect shape.
I have no complaints about the printer.

But I do wish Elegoo made more of a verity for 5 kg rolls.
Please Elegoo make it an option to choose any filament type to come on 3 or 5 kg rolls.

As a normally positive person, it saddens me to feel so compelled to write this review, but I do so in hopes of preventing anyone else from buying this printer. This is one of the worst investments I''ve made in my adult life. Whether I''m using the single toolhead for large prints, or the 4 toolhead adapter for multi-prints, this printer rarely finishes an entire print without throwing some type of error code. What adds to the misery, is that the ''restart print'' function doesn''t accurately line up the layers, so even if a print could otherwise be salvaged after resetting the firmware error, it still cannot line itself back up to finish the print correctly. Over the past year, I have probably lost more than a thousand dollars in failed print filament - let alone the major cost of this massive printer that essentially doesn''t work. PLEASE reconsider buying this printer - or at least ensure you have a warranty and you are willing to box this massive thing back up and send back for a refund.

I should also note, Elegoo customer support is overseas and very difficult to communicate with. Trouble shooting is a slow and painful process that has not resulted in any functional improvement on my end. It''s a true shame something this sturdy and well advertised is such a failing product.

Received a damaged printer with missing hardware. I’m on day 4 with customer service who can’t even be bothered to ship the bolts. And the damage to the printer “doesnt seem to be that bad”. I didn’t pay to mend damaged goods that can’t even be assembled . Who knows if the damage extends to the two motors on the frame? If this is their product and customer service I’m kicking this up to a charge back in a week with my credit card in a week. If this machine worked decently I was looking to order more but I’m absolutely floored by their lack of support and how they could ship something that was obviously damaged before shipping. Shipping boxes were immaculate

I have been 3D printing and 3d Sculpting since 2013. I have owned many FDM and Resin printers. I have purchased a few different brands and Elegoo by far has the best products so far, they keep me coming back again and again. I watched may videos regarding the printer, tutorials, and complaints.

I set up the printer without much of an issue, it did take two, to 3 people to put certain parts in place but it wasn't difficult. I was up and printing with in a few days.

I printed 3 of the buddha file that came with the printer, no issues. Then I printed my own file, it was a Mandalorian Helmet. It took 68 hours to print, but mostly that was my own doing, I made the helmet a 1/4 inch thick and enhanced certain aspect of printing with the slice software. The print came out amazing no hiccups except for not having enough filament, which also wasn't an issue. I was able to put more filament in and keep printing. The print came out amazing! The layer lines are very minimal and there wasn't any missed spots or lagging areas on the print.

I am so amazed by this printer. I am not a paid spokesperson either, just someone that loves Elegoo products!!

just got our giga put together and did a manual bed level and then did an auto level, printed a 600x600x500 fixture and turned out great. We are using this printer for our cmm fixtures at our company.This printer is very affordable and reliable. Thanks, Eleggo

Unable to successfully print anything without having the printer randomly turn off or freeze in the middle of a long print. Then will take hours for it to boot up and gets stuck on the boot up logo screen. Tried contacting support in a variety of different ways with no resolution.

I already own another large 1000x1000x1600 printer that took days to assemble, bolt-by-bolt and cable-by-cable. This printer is a walk in the park to unbox, build and get running. If you've put together an Elegoo Neptune Series printer then you can do this one. Two people can be useful at times, but I did everything myself except for the X-Y print head frame as I didn't want to risk dropping it on the bed. Most of the working parts are pre-assembled, so you have a base, 2 sides, 2 rails, the X-Y frame, and the rest of the assembly is mounting the print head, screen and connecting the wires. Don't forget to change the voltage if required (there are 5 dip switches).
You have a choice of either using a custom Cura slicer or a custom Orca slicer. I used the Orca version for my text print.
So far, I'm loving this new printer. My only gripe is the split bed plates. While I understand the logic behind them and power savings of having the bed in 4 quadrants, I want a single smooth surface for my prints, so I'm having to order a third party single sheet PEI plate at an additional cost. If I only wanted to use a 400x400 area then I'd use one of my 3 Max or 4 Max printers.

This is my 7th Elegoo printer, and it is another winner!

These printers are amazing. Once you start printing large objects, it's hard to go back to smaller printers. Setup is best with two people, but it could be done by one very careful person.
Unlock your imagination and go big!

Be prepared to be amazed. This thing just works. In fact the only issue you may have is getting detailed enough models so that they don't look blocky when scaled way up.
Got mine on time, used it a month, and it had a problem. Reached out to support and they got me replacement parts, which worked perfectly. The only issue is that I only have room for one of them.

The quality of this printer is OUTSTANDING. Assembly was straightforward, took a couple hours, but automatically configured itself and printed perfect on the first try! Absolutely remarkable. Setting it up with a dual print-head using multiple colors was waaaay easier than expected, and again, perfect print the first time.

All that said, it weighs **a lot**. Get ready to leave it where you set it up 😂

After receiving this monster of a machine, I was skeptical on just how accurate and detailed something like this could get. After an extensive bed leveling and calibration, I jumped right into it and started a 7 day print. The end result had me questioning why I ever bought anything else. This thing might not be the fastest printer but it is 100% on par with the quality I have gotten out of bambu labs printers with the added bonus of being able to scale most prints up by 500% and have it print in one go. Elegoo outdid them with this one 10/10.

After getting the beds zeroed out and after printing a bench and flat print day 1 the machine mother board and 1 of the 5 power supply boards went bad and now I'm waiting on info for the parts needed to fix the machine 😑 with a $1500 order on hold that I may loose due to this situation.

For now, it works perfectly. They could have included a kit to enclose it, as I’ve done using polycarbonate sheets that help concentrate heat inside, saving a lot on electricity and keeping it clean from dust. That’s the only thing it’s missing. But it’s cheap and easy to do. I've printed with this machine for weeks now constantly. Out of the box it was printing great! Only difficult thing about it, is having the space for it, and an exponentially growing print queue.

I read many reviews about this product and was excited to try it. Unfortunately, it arrived damaged. Customer service was helpful and assisted me in getting it to work with some replacement parts but the performance wasn’t as good as I’d hoped. I’m not sure if I just got a lemon or if the product needs more refinement out of the box. Thankfully, I was able to get a refund but did have to pay for return shipping and restocking fees. I’ll be keeping an eye out for a version 2 with bug fixes and much needed improvements.

The volume, quality, and speed are amazing; it matches perfectly.

This printer would be awesome if I could get a full print off it. I managed to get 2 prints and that’s it. I have wasted 6kg of filament because the printer keeps throwing errors 20 to 40 hr into prints. I ordered this printer for my business to start big orders and so far it has been a $2500 paperweight. For a new printer it has a lot of issues.

I got mine and I love it I haven't even found something to print in max height, but it has allowed me to print chest pieces and other parts for my cosplay! I highly recommend for people into 3D printing cosplay!

My printer initially arrived with a damaged x-axis motor cable but Elegoo promptly replaced it. Otherwise the printer has performed beautifully right out of the box. Print quality is great and this thing is FAST. Love the volume, which at this price point can't be beat.
